Mark’s design and construction career started in the 90’s, working for his father’s engineering firm in Beaumont, Texas, before earning his Master of Architecture with a focus on sustainable design. From the beginning he has used his gifts to serve others all over the world.

In 2002, he and his wife, Michelle, moved to Honduras, where they spent fifteen years as missionaries leading projects that included

orphanages, hospitals, schools, water systems, bridges, churches, and more than 200 homes.

They later continued this work in Guatemala until 2023.

Along the way, Mark also completed U.S. projects, launched multiple businesses, and cofounded a nonprofit to support development in Central America. Most recently, he served as Director of Grounds and Facilities at Community First! Village in Austin, advancing innovative housing solutions for the formerly homeless.
